We're building our founding volunteer team to launch critical services for Brent's carers

Community Outreach Volunteer

Role Purpose:

Help identify and connect with unpaid carers across Brent who may not realise they're eligible for support. You'll be trained to conduct compassionate outreach through community centres, places of worship, and local events.

Time Commitment: 4-8 hours per week (flexible scheduling)

Location: Various locations across Brent (travel expenses covered)

We're Looking For:

  • Empathetic communicators comfortable approaching diverse community members
  • Knowledge of Brent's communities and languages (especially Polish, Gujarati, Arabic)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
  • No prior experience required - full training provided
Digital Content Creator

Role Purpose:

Develop compelling content that raises awareness about carer burnout and promotes our services. Create social media posts, blog articles, videos, and email campaigns that drive engagement and support.

Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per week (remote possible)

Location: Primarily remote with optional office days in Wembley

We're Looking For:

  • Experience with content creation (writing, graphic design, or video production)
  • Understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing principles
  • Ability to translate complex issues into accessible, engaging content
  • Portfolio or examples of previous work appreciated but not required
Fundraising Volunteer

Role Purpose:

Support our fundraising efforts by researching grant opportunities, assisting with applications, and helping organise community fundraising events. Play a direct role in securing resources to expand our services.

Time Commitment: 6-12 hours per month (flexible)

Location: Hybrid (remote and in-person meetings in Brent)

We're Looking For:

  • Strong writing and research skills

Respite Volunteer

Pro Bono Professional

Role Purpose:

Time Commitment: Project-based (typically 10-20 hours total)

Location: Primarily remote with optional in-person consultations

We're Looking For:

  • Professional qualifications or significant experience in your field
  • Ability to explain complex concepts to non-specialists
  • Commitment to completing agreed projects within timeframe
  • Experience with social enterprises or charities valuable but not required
